On 19th December 2013, the Choir started the Christmas celebrations with a magical concert of carols accompanied by traditional sounds of Christmas from CityBrass and balanced with readings by Margaret Jowett. The programme covered many old favourites from carol singing traditions together with extracts from Handel’s glorious work, Messiah. The choir joined with CityBrass to perform works by Schutz with CityBrass also performing highlights from ‘The Nutcracker’ and other Christmas music. The audience joined in the singing of traditional carols.
