The choir welcomes new members in all voice parts. We are a friendly and sociable group who aim for a balanced membership of about 50 singers. While we are an amateur choir who love singing as a leisure activity, we rehearse and perform to high standards. Three of our concerts each year take place in London churches but we also perform summer concerts in country churches or abroad. We have performed works by Haydn, as befits the Esterhazy name, but we sing the music of many periods and composers, from ancient to contemporary. We have also sung specially commissioned works.To join you do not have to be widely experienced, but you need a good sense of pitch, ability to read music and a willingness to commit to rehearsals and concert dates. All new singers are invited to undertake a short vocal audition before admittance to the choir and you are welcome to come along and try a couple of rehearsals before you join. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings in term time from 7 pm till 9.30 pm at St Magnus the Martyr Church in Lower Thames Street EC1, close to the Monument and London Bridge.
